We are looking for:
- MARGARET (65) is MARTIN's wife, who plays along with her husband's fantasy that he owns a lost and found store. She comes every day, with pictures to talk about the time she had spent with him in the past. She deep inside believes that if she keeps talking to him, about the past, using the pictures, she would be able to make him remember, even if it is for just a few seconds. She eventually knows that he will forget everything and has made peace with that.
- MARTIN a 75-year-old man, who works in the Lost and Found Store. He is a sweet man, who just wants to keep his customer happy.
MARTIN a delightful shopkeeper at his Lost and Found store, who tries to get his customers everything they want. But there is a particular customer, MARGARET who comes in daily with an album full of Polaroids.
MARTIN looks at the Polaroid, she gives him. Every day he notices an object in it, and finds it for MARGARET. And everyday MARGARET says that it was not what she was looking for.
MARTIN frustrated with this, confronts her and asks her what she really wants. Seeing his frustration, MARGARET gets emotional, trying to calm Martin she tells him, 'It's okay darling'. She walks away so that she doesn't break down in front of him. MARTIN astonished by what he heard notices the album on the counter. He looks through the pictures and realizes, they were pictures taken when MARTIN and MARGARET were young. He notices the name of the album, and calls out Margaret's name, right before she exits the store.
In the moment of lucidity, he understands he is not in the store anymore but on a bed, in a room of a nursing home. He notices Margaret, sitting beside him and holding his hand. The store was a fragment of his imagination/fantasy where he was trying to comprehend, what MARGARET actually wanted.
